A multi-award winning company, our client is a specialist company with an impressive client base across the breadth of England and Wales. With offices in key strategic locations, they have grown and developed into supplying a number of essential services to solicitors and barristers. Currently undergoing a period of expansion, they are now looking to add two Legal Cashiers to their team.
A Legal Cashier with solid experience handling all aspects of accounting work for law firms to include a good working knowledge of the SAR, legal aid procedures and Lexcel requirements. Regular liaison with external client firms in addition to undertaking duties including reconciliations, VAT and transactional work form the core of the position. Assisting other members of the team where necessary and ensuring all work is carried out in full compliance with regulatory and company policies are essential for the role.
Senior applicants must have a thorough working knowledge of the SAR and be fully conversant with LAA procedures. Duties will incorporate general cashiering work with additional: staff supervision; holding and managing meetings with your team; some aspects of HR; ensuring compliance; dealing with complaints and; attending clients at external locations as necessary. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite for this position. Prior supervisory experience is advantageous but not essential.
