My Client, a prestigious commercial dealership are looking to recruit a new Service Advisor for their start of the art depot in Cardiff.
Objectives of the Service Advisor
Convincingly convey the image of the prestigious commercial brand, mediating successfully between the customers needs and desires and the interest of the company.
Ensure customer satisfaction through professional manner, using their ability to remain reassuring to the customer during difficult situations.
To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times.
The Service Advisor will report directly to the Service Manager.
Key responsibilities of the Service Advisor:
·Informing customers of their ongoing vehicle status
·Writing orders for repairs
·Entering additions / changes to customer database
·Handing over finished vehicles to customers
·Giving customers detailed explanations on extent of repairs
·Monitoring whether repairs are being carried out to the required delivery time
·Actively sell after-sales services
·Discussing and arranging payment with customers
·Booking in of vehicles to ensure continuity of workshop loading
·Provide advice on warranties and service requirements
·In the case of legally required inspections, explaining the necessary vehicle test requirements
·Arrange schedules for MOT / Vehicle inspections
Key Performance Measures for the Service Advisor:
·Effectively and politely liaising with customers regarding their vehicles status, payment and repairs
·Accurate booking of customer vehicles into the workshop
·Monitoring repair times
·Providing accurate advice on service requirements
The Service Advisor will require motor industry experience, commercial or HGV would be an advantage but not essential. Kerridge experience is advantageous.
My Client is also recruiting for a Service Administrator role in the same department - the Service Administrator role will require accurate invoicing and produce claims to allow promt payment, provide effective day to day workshop admin from job card to invoice, to ensure all job packs meet manufacturer standards, and assist and encompass a supportive role within general aftersales activities. You will need to inform customers of vehicle status, write up orders for repairs and actively sell after-sales services. The Service Administrator will also hand over finished vehicles to customers and discuss and arrange payment.
