Job title: Assembly Technician Salary: £21,500 My client based in Halesowen are looking for skilled assembly operatives to join their team and assist with building their products. Details: To ensure machines are built to specification with zero defects and of high standard quality finish. Machines must be built within the agreed standard build time. Ensure high standards of right first time, build efficiency and service level are consistently achieved. Provide fast resolution to any assembly issues identified and ensure good levels of communication with Operations Team. Key Duties and Responsibilities: *Responsible for health and welfare of both themselves and fellow team members. *Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and written instructions of engineers and other team members and then to assemble as required. *Assemble bracketry frame and perform minor soldering of components to boards or connectors. *Adhere to UK Health and Safety Regulations and safe working practices. *Adhere tovquality standards, factory rules and HR policies. *Help, encourage and develop other team members within the department as required. *Assist Team Leader and other team members in continuous improvement activities. *Welcome customers/visitors in a professional manner at all times. *Report Health and Safety issues / near misses to Assembly Team Leader. *Update hours accounting on ERP system in a timely manner. *Keep work station organised and orderly, and to make sure that production parts, tools, test equipment and documentation are properly stored and maintained. Performance Standards: The following are the minimum performance standards expected by the company: *Consistently achieve 'Right First Time' performance against cost and time scale targets. *Approach all tasks and objectives with positive enthusiasm and flexibility. *Consistently produce a high standard of service to internal and external customers. *Maintain commercial confidentiality in all discussions and activities. *Have the required technical knowledge of the equipment and tools. *Assembly, engineering or electrical experience within a relevant manufacturing environment. *Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
