Due to growth our corporate client is looking to recruit a number of staff to join their engineering team. These roles are being recruited on a 6 month temporary basis with the option to go permanent. The purpose of the role is to carry out laboratory work (tests, preparations or other experimental work) as directed by the QC Laboratory Supervisor or Quality Manager on all products manufactured by, or for use in Production.
The job role will involve -
Carrying out laboratory work (tests, preparations or other experimental work) as directed by the QC Laboratory Supervisor.
Keep suitable legible written records of work in line with local procedures and accreditation requirements.
Ensure that the relevant safety requirements are satisfied.
Ensure all areas of the laboratory are in a clean and tidy condition in accordance with site 5S and FOD requirements.
Maintain and improve practical, technical and theoretical knowledge in the techniques required for assigned programmes of work
Assist in the training of new laboratory staff (where appropriate and directed).
Ensure laboratory stocks of equipment, chemicals and other materials relevant to the testing procedures are maintained.
Knowledge, skill and experience required -
Experience of working within a production or laboratory environment desirable but not essential
Good communication skills (written and verbal) GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics
IT literate and able to follow detailed instructions accurately
