Summary Dairy Herdsperson Easter Bush Campus Operations and Services, Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies £19,730 - £22,017 pa Herdsperson required to join a small team responsible for the day to day management of a 240 cow herd at Langhill Farm, Roslin. The farm has modern facilities, is well equipped and achieves high commercial standards. It plays a key role in the Royal(Dick)School of Veterinary Studies undergraduate teaching course. Applicants should have a good level of hands-on experience of stock handling, clean milk production, cow fertility and animal welfare. They should have experience in use of tractors and standard farm machinery. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team as well as independently are essential. The standard working week is 35hrs with an additional 6hrs of contracted overtime. The salary will be within the University of Edinburgh Band 4 (£19,730 - £22,017) with additional payment for the contracted overtime and a 15% supplement for working variable hours. The appointment offers free 3 bedroom accommodation on site. There are excellent local schools.
