Summary The role of the Engagement team is to ensure that victims and survivors from all backgrounds have a way to input to and find out about the work of the Inquiry. Engagement with victims and survivors forms a large part of our remit. We engage with victims and survivors through a membership group called the Forum. The Forum is a network for victims and survivors, and those who represent them, to discuss and contribute to the work of the Inquiry. The team also leads engagement with stakeholders. We need stakeholders to be aware of and engaged with the work of the Inquiry so that they can contribute to ensuring children are better protected from sexual abuse in the future. In order to deliver on an ambitious programme of engagement work the team is growing rapidly and requires a dynamic, passionate and positive individual to fill the role of Engagement Projects Lead at IICSA. This role will lead on three distinctive pieces of engagement work, a Children and Young People project, engagement with BAME communities and our connections into a victims and survivor consultative panel. The role requires an individual capable of strategically leading the three areas of work and the colleagues directly delivering them. Whilst DBS is not currently a requirement for this role, due to the dynamic nature of the Inquiry you may be requested to pass a DBS check further into your employment. All IICSA staff have access to a confidential support service, called Wellcheck, through the Employee Assistance Programme. It is designed to promote resilience, self-care and general wellbeing in relation to the impact of working with child sexual abuse material.
