Summary We are currently looking for a number of Eligibility Assessors to join us in our Pre-Assessment team based at Lingfield Point, Darlington. Working 9am to 5pm you'll be working as part of the team that determines non EU and rest of the world students' entitlement to financial support. This will involve assessing applications, so that an accurate decision on their eligibility can be made. Either way, you will need to capture the information provided onto bespoke processing systems following specific processes and guidance material. Key responsibilities: Determine students' eligibility and entitlement to financial support in accordance with the relevant regulations, procedures and standards. Request relevant information and evidence from students, sponsors and third parties in support of applications for financial entitlement. Carry out outbound telephone calls to clarify information and evidence, investigate issues, provide services and enhance customer service. Keep up to date and be able to advise on and implement all aspects of all appropriate regulations and guidance. Including the Education (Student Support) Regulations for England and Wales, plus the Further Education Loans regulations along with local policies and procedures for all relevant domiciles. Experience isn't required for these roles - what's more important is that you're computer literate and have a high attention to detail , with excellent organisational and communication skills. You need to be confident in using Microsoft PC packages including Word and Excel , and ideally hold both Maths and English at GCSE level or above (or equivalent).
