Summary DEPUTY TEAM LEADER RN/ODP (Band 6) Are you looking for an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and make a difference to perioperative patient care? We currently have exciting opportunities for Band 6 Deputy Team Leaders in Anaesthetics, Surgery and/or Recovery. The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton Hospital in Banbury. The JR2 Theatres are looking for experienced, passionate & dedicated Nurses and ODPs to work in anaesthetics, surgery and/or recovery as Deputy Team Leaders (Band 6). The John Radcliffe Main Operating Theatre Department (Oxford) is a 5 theatre unit where routine and emergency surgery takes place. Specialties include vascular, emergencies, general, gynae, trauma orthopaedics and spinal surgery. The unit mainly provides care for adult patients but with some paediatrics, and is the theatre suite for Major Trauma. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated staff in JR Main (Anaesthetics and Recovery). You will be expected to have more than 2 years of extensive experience, mentorship qualification, have excellent communication skills, influencing and leadership skills and thrive in a busy team environment. You will be encouraged and supported to further develop using the educational and experiential learning opportunities available. There is a structured orientation programme to support you development and you will be supported by your team leader and the education team. The directorate has a comprehensive Education Strategy to underpin the development of all grades of staff within theatres, to facilitate career development and progression. This is a full time post 37.5 hours per week which include a commitment to day / night shift rotation, bank holidays and weekend.
