Summary Full Time, Fixed Term until 31.04.2021 The University of Wales Trinity Saint David is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the post of Business Development Officer to work in the Assistive Technologies Innovation Centre (ATiC) based within UWTSD's Wales Institute of Science and Art, on a fixed term contract to 31st April 2021. ATiC is a core component of ACCELERATE, a multi-partner project part funded by the EU. The project provides Research & Innovation support for businesses and clinicians working across Wales to assist in the development and introduction to market of new products and services and to grow the Life-Science Sector in Wales. The ATiC Business Development Officer will work with the ATiC management team in reaching out to businesses and individuals working in the Life Science and health sectors across Wales. The post holder will work alongside the ATiC Project Manager and Principal Innovation Fellow in developing opportunities for ATiC to engage with and support the sector. They will develop and coordinate contact with external clients, manage social media channels and plan external workshops, conferences and promotional events. Further aspects of this role include: supporting the ATiC project management team in ensuring that ATiC complies with various governance, monitoring and reporting requirements in relation to the funding programme and sector engagement, and helping the team of Innovation Fellows to scope initial project potential and translate their project activity into marketing assets to promote the work of ATiC and ACCELERATE. This post will require a candidate with excellent communication skills and digital literacy, proven ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate, highly self-motivated and capable of building and maintaining effective and productive relationships between the University and the life-science and health sectors within Wales as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
