We are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor with a flair for training, to join our established team.
The post holder will: support the annual H&S training programme; undertake inspections and audits; undertake practical tasks such as FFP3 mask fit-testing; monitor and review H&S performance; investigate incident reports; and be a source of advice and support on H&S matters to Trust line managers and staff, including our Estates Operational/ Capital Teams. The successful candidate will hold as a minimum the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, plus a Level 3 adult teaching/ training qualification such as the City and Guilds 6502 Level 3 Award in Education and Training. You will also need to hold Technical Membership of IOSH and be able to demonstrate active participation in Continuing Professional Development.
The post-holder will have experience in both adult teaching/ learning and advisory work within a diverse and complex organisation.
We will require you to be IT literate and numerate, and be capable of reporting on trends in incident reporting, inspections and audits.
