Our Client

Fully FCA authorised, our client is a brand new, strongly backed financial start-up providing unsecured loans to UK customers. With plans to commence trading in early 2019, they are now seeking an Office Manager to come on board and support their success.

Your Role

As the Office Manager, you will be tasked with supporting all day-to-day elements of running the business. You will take a hands-on approach and provide the two Directors with support whilst driving an open and communicative culture.

Working right across all operational business functions, you'll be involved in everything from customer interaction through to HR, admin and compliance checks.

The sector is heavily regulated and there are significant compliance requirements involved, however the environment will be based around open communication, stakeholder engagement and an appetite for success.

You will:

- Interact with customers, taking a hands-on approach to application and customer contact
- Work to 'Treating Customers Fairly' standards and ensure good customer outcomes
- Support the underwriters and take part in all staff activities
- Process HR administrative documents and invoices
- Complete compliance and quality assurance checks on applications, staff and partners
- Process the staff payroll
- Organise company social events and incentive schemes
- Act as PA for the Directors as required

About You

To be considered as the Office Manager, you will need:

- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment that is FCA regulated
- Previous line management experience, including performance reviews and coaching new staff
- To be able to act in the Directors' stead when necessary during periods of absence
- A dependable, decisive approach

Ideally, you will have knowledge and experience of unsecured loan underwriting, credit scoring and automated fraud and compliance checks. Unsecured consumer loan finance, or a building society or a car finance background would also be beneficial to your application.
