Summary

Product Compliance Engineer

Primary location is Whitchurch but occasional national and international travel may be required.

Salary is up to £40,000 (DOE)

Working hours are 36.25 hours per week, 8:30 to 16:45 Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 15:46 on Friday.

We are recruiting for our client who is a world-recognised organisation who are looking to expand their team due to internal promotion.

Main function of job:

* To control and maintain all aspects of product compliance to international standards. These would include, but not be limited to UL, CCC and CE.
* This will include product performance and characteristics as well as associated regulations and directives such as RoHS and REACH, ensuring that all relevant data is correct. The candidate will also be required to communicate this with interested parties as and when required.
* The successful candidate will need to be self-sufficient and manage own workload to deliver the results as agreed by Senior Management with very little direct supervisor.

Tools and equipment used:

* Predominantly office based using computer software including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Interaction with internet portals, for both data retrieval and submission.
Occasional use of hand tools and other simple test equipment.

Qualifications/education required:

* A general education with GCE O-Level/GCSE/B-Tech or equivalent in Maths and English as a minimum but ideally HND/degree educated in an engineering or science discipline
* Previous training and experience of engineering fundamentals
* Knowledge and experience of liaising with external regulatory organisations and notified bodies
