This is a fantastic opportunity for an experience HR Assistant to join our Global client on permanent basis. The main focus for this role is to provide general support to the HR function where you will be working in a small team, where Recruitment will form a large proportion of your role. Responsibilities will include;
• Assist with the development and management of HR Policies and Procedures. • Recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, short-listing, interviewing and selecting candidates. • Employee onboarding. • Assist and provide advice and guidance to managers and employees with regards to HR matters. • Provide support in disciplinary and grievance procedures. • Provide support with employee welfare and H&S matters. • Ensures that the computerised and manual HR systems are accurately maintained at all times. • Be the HR systems expert in terms of infrastructure, populating, reporting and general usage. • Provide assistance with payroll information by collating time and attendance records and liaise with payroll ensuring all new starter and leaver forms get forwarded in a timely manner. • Control of general administration including efficient filing systems, storage and retrieval of documentation, preparation of forms, answering the telephone and ensure that all personnel files are maintained to a high level with all the appropriate documentation. Files should be secured at all times. • Assist with temporary worker liaison - book temporary workers and maintain the associated documentation and spreadsheets. • Contribute to HR, welfare and training activities and participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
To be considered for this excellent opportunity you must have previous HR experience, ideally from a manufacturing background. You will have superb interpersonal skills at all levels, along with first class communication and organisation skills. Possess good attention to detail and have a flexible approach to work. Strong IT skills are essential.
