Rotational Critical Care /Surgery/ Medicine/Cardiac And Pulmonary Rehabilitation /Surgical Prehabilitation

Experienced Band 5 Considered

Are you looking to join a dynamic, forward thinking department and looking to expand your clinical skills?

We have fantastic opportunities for staff who have completed their basic rotations and are looking to expand their existing clinical knowledge within critical care, medical respiratory, general surgery and cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.

We are a regional oncological surgery centre specialising in Upper GI, Head and Neck (maxillo-facial and ENT), hepatopancreaticobiliary, urology and gynae-oncology surgery. Surgery will also include a prehabilitation focused rotation. This is a new McMillan sponsored service we hope to start in September.

We have a Critical Care Unit open to 21 beds to support our local population as well as our specialised surgery. We have an established physiotherapy led NIV service and pulmonary rehabilitation programme/ cardiac rehabilitation alongside general medical rehabilitation.

Critical Care, Surgery and Medicine run reduced seven day services, in addition to a department wide evening oncall service.

We pride ourselves in supporting staff with good team and department structures and morale. We run specialist clinical training, non clinical training, student training as well as supporting external courses. You will be supported by a clinical specialist in Critical Care as well as a Respiratory Physiotherapy consultant, Team Leaders in Medicine, Critical Care, Surgery and Pulmonary/Cardiac Rehabilitation.

We also have superb working relationships with our Consultants and Ward Teams.

We would also consider a static post in a respiratory area if feasable and happy to discuss with the applicant.

Our clinical staff are involved in Trust level clinical and nonclinical projects and have opportunities to drive service development, audit and evidence based practice.
