An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our Bradford based IT team on a six month day rate contract to help lead the delivery of a large scale Desktop and Network Infrastructure refresh.

What you'll be doing:

Overall you'll be leading the delivery a large Enterprise Desktop Refresh and Network Infrastructure, one that will be a high risk, high scale and complex project.

Day to day you'll be:

Managing the overall scope, timeline, budget and benefits and ensuring appropriate assurance governance and reporting is in place
Ensuring project sponsors and key stakeholders are fully engaged throughout.
Providing leadership, motivation and vision to constituent project teams, through matrix management, in order to drive high performing teams.

The Knowledge & Skills you'll have:

Experience in delivering Large Enterprise Desktop Refresh and Network Infrastructures including migrations involving Windows 10/Office 365 to the agreed scope, timescales, budgets, benefits and quality, utilising the Simplified Change Lifecycle, and in compliance with programme governance.
Be able to successfully define the project scope and determine the most appropriate delivery approach, in compliance with agreed Delivery Model(s) considering project planning, identifying internal & external dependencies.
Experienced in being able to mobilise and manage the project team, adopting ways of working that are appropriate to the project's Delivery Model and enable and support effective delivery of Third Party deliverables where applicable.
Matrix management, leadership experience, ensuring clear direction for all members of the project team to ensure effective collaboration and team-working.
Exposure to contract negotiations with potential Third Party suppliers to confirm requirements, costs and timescales to enable commercial agreements that are appropriate and in line with the agreed Delivery Model(s).
Strong communication skills ensuring the project status with key stakeholders is communicated throughout the life of the project ensuring that all reports and communications are timely, relevant, accurate and appropriate to the audience, ensuring proactive stakeholder management.
Supporting the achievement of department objectives and business improvement initiatives by sharing and applying best practice and lessons learned to build the team capability and to demonstrate/promote the value of Project Management services to the wider business community.
Prince2 or equivalent project management qualification(s)
