Role Purpose: To provide a supporting role in maximising sales through ensuring deliveries are actioned and stock and visual merchandising standards are maintained throughout the store. In the absence of the management team to be accountable and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the store.

Selection Criteria Essential: • Good standard of education, although candidates with limited qualifications should not be ruled out, • 1-3 years previous experience in a retail environment • Knowledge of selling skills and how to provide excellent customer service • Knowledge of stock control procedures and retail standards • Knowledge of general administration procedures • Passionate about customer service and putting the customer first • Good communication skills, able to talk confidently to customers about products and to direct the team in their role • A friendly, approachable nature with the ability to empathise with our customers. • An honest, trustworthy individual with integrity • Enthusiasm, flair and the ability to work on their own initiative • Good organisational skills, which enable them to manage the team to ensure all tasks set are completed to the required standard and on time • A smart appearance which projects the right image to our customers • A degree of flexibility is required to ensure management cover is provided for the store at all times
Desirable: • Educated to GSCE or equivalent level with 4-5 passes. An NVQ in Retail Operations or Customer Services • Supervisory experience in a retail environment or similar service industry where good customer service is required • Experience in visual merchandising • Time management and prioritizing skills • Coaching and development skills • An individual who is motivated by selling and gains satisfaction from contributing to a customer first culture • Keeps personal development live and continuously strives to build knowledge / experience and support peer group • Good people management skills, able to lead a team, motivate and delegate as necessary • Gains satisfaction from contributing to the management of a well run store with high retail standards
