This role is primarily to programme CNC, C and Y axis driven tool, single and twin spindle lathes.
The successful candidate will be someone that has extensive post apprenticeship practical knowledge and experience with CNC programming, setting and operating, who has the drive to work within a small quickly developing team.

Manage and Prioritise workflow to maximise production efficiency
Ensure the consistent quality of items are being manufactured
Ensure on time delivery
Mentoring apprentices and cross training of current employees
Planning, programming with CAD/CAM Systems
Setting and operating multiple CNC lathes
Planning, programming and operating XYZ CNC Centre Lathe
Assisting the quoting function on working methods and tooling
Operating CNC milling machines as and when required
Confirming to the requirements of ISO 9001
Tool fitting and other assembly work as required
Good housekeeping and any other workshop duties as required by the business
Experience, qualifications and skills:
Significant industry experience within this role is required
Experience using CAD
Good team-working skills
Understands current health and safety legislation and can adhere to it
Able to develop own competencies in line with own job
Able to develop and support individuals and teams as required
