Becoming a Back Office Customer Service Representative with Capita in partnership with Transport for London (TfL):
As a Back Office Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for the behind-the-scenes processing service of TfL's London Road User Charging system. Reporting to your Team Leader, you'll use your strong written communication skills to deal with appeals and assess claims. As part of the daytime shift team you'll work Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
What you will do:
Provide excellent customer service.
Ensure all responses are clear, concise and accurate.
Liaise with third party agencies where required.
Work within a target driven environment and adhere to quality and productivity targets.
Make quick, timely decisions in a confident manner.
Adhere to all Capita policies and procedures.
Your experience will include:
Excellent communication skills - especially written English - and the ability to deal with potentially difficult customers in a confident manner.
Good computer skills, including email, Microsoft Word and knowledge based applications.
Ability to work to tight deadlines, while maintaining a high quality response.
A 'can-do' approach; being able to work under your own initiative and within a team.
An analytical mind and a talent for learning quickly.

From April 2019, we will also oversee the new Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and will be responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the systems, as well as all front and back office processes on TfL's behalf.
