A household name in banking are looking to grow their busy Collections team near Meadowhall (Sheffield) They place the customer at the heart of everything they do, and joining their Collections team you'll be doing just that - helping customers get their finances back on track.
Supporting customers who are in financial difficulty, no two days will be the same. People can find themselves in financial difficulty for a wide range of reasons - it will be your job to listen to the customer, understand their circumstances and support them to create a sustainable and affordable solution. You will carry out income and expenditure reports with customers, identify any customers who are potentially vulnerable and might require extra support, and ensure all notes and systems are accurately updated.
Through the client's excellent training and on-going support you will become an expert in your field - able to answer queries, solve problems and make a genuine difference in your customers' lives. This is a challenging but highly rewarding role - your performance will be measured against service targets and you'll be using a variety of IT systems while on the phone to the customer. Once you've become a master of your trade, the progression opportunities are real - many of the colleagues in the office started in this role and have now progressed into team leaders, support functions and mentoring roles.
With a total package of up to £20,295 per annum - this opportunity offers a starting salary of £17,000 - £18,500 per annum, working 35 hours per week between 08:00 - 21:00 Monday to Friday, and 09:00 - 17:00 Saturdays. Alongside your salary, there is annual bonus based on company and personal performance (up to 7% of salary) and £500 flexible benefits (which can be added to your basic salary). • Confident communicators - you need to be able to engage with customers over the phone and translate complex details into easy to understand language • Keen to learn - you'll be given full training and support on the systems, processes and products, but this training will require your full attention • Happy to work toward targets - you'll be measured on your quality and efficiency. Don't worry as you'll be given full support, but it does help if you enjoy meeting targets.
