Summary Becoming an Product Support Analyst with Employee Benefits: Capita Employee Benefits based in Bristol City Centre have a new role for an Product Support Analyst to work within our Pensions Software Solutions division Core skills that we would look for are Server Management, RDBMS (SQL, Sybase, Oracle) Shell Scripting What you will do: Gain an understanding, and deliver IT Support Services in line with customer requirements by understanding the Service Management application and its use in conjunction with Customer Service expectations. Log customer calls accurately, undertake initial diagnostics & first time fix resolutions to calls where possible, or ensure efficient call progression to appropriate resolver team as appropriate. Act as initial point of contact for existing IT issues and escalations in addition to the overall monitoring of call progression through the service management toolset. Undertake mentoring of new starters on the desk as appropriate. Deliver work task rotas, shift rota administration and reporting. Ensure efficient escalation of higher priority calls (ie P1's and Major Incidents) to IT Managers. Your experience will include: Shell Scripting experience Server Management Relational Database experience (SQL Server, Sybase or Oracle) Demonstrates detailed understanding of the risk of virus infection and behaves appropriately Demonstrates ability to configure Windows desktop as appropriateDemonstrates ability to safely search the Internet as appropriate Ability to find, access, and store relevant information on the CEB NetworkUnderstand VPN set ups 1st and 2nd line support Able to install application and web servers (EAServer, IIS, TomCat). Able to complete installations of Sybase ASE and MS SQL server.
