Summary Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health care to a culturally and socially-diverse population living in Birmingham and Solihull and is one of the largest mental health Foundation Trusts in the country. Our circa 4000 staff are continuingly striving to "Help People Get Better". The Trust also has a number of specialist services. This includes the Perinatal Mental Health Service. The Trust is a teaching organisation, playing a prominent part in Medical Education at both undergraduate and Postgraduate level, also contributing to a wide range of multidisciplinary training programmes. Perinatal Mental Health Services are expanding with a focus on developing innovative forms of service delivery. There is a an inpatient Mother & Baby Unit located in the recently opened Barberry. The service is developing an increasing number of perinatal mental health liaison clinics in Acute Hospital settings. We are seeking to appoint proven or potential Clinical Leaders to take forward Perinatal Mental Health Services, particularly to provide clinical expertise and leadership in Sandwell & West Birmingham. The ability to work flexibly in multidisciplinary teams and in a range of settings is essential. There are strong links with the University of Birmingham and teaching will be an integral part of the post. Applicants must have full registration with the GMC, MRCPsych or equivalent, Section 12 (2) approval, approved clinician status CCT accreditation in General Adult Psychiatry or equivalent, with experience in Perinatal Psychiatry.
