Summary Could you be the next Emergency Nurse Practitioner at Corby Urgent Care Centre? Due to exciting developments at Corby Urgent Care Centre, we are expanding our existing team. Corby Urgent Care Centre offers a high standard of unscheduled care from early morning to late evening for patients attending with a wide variety of undifferentiated conditions. The centre is staffed primarily by our team of experienced Urgent Care Clinicians with additional support from other clinical and non-clinical members of staff. We are looking for enthusiastic, patient focused Emergency Nurse Practitioner who has substantial experience, post registration, in an acute/urgent care setting, along with experience treating minor injury & illness in a similar environment. You'll benefit from regular clinical meetings, support to develop special interests, ongoing training and development and flexibility on working patterns. The role As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) you will use your specialist knowledge and skills to provide healthcare independently to patients (adults and children) attending the Urgent Care Centre (UCC). You will be accountable for the total episode of care within the UCC; for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed needs. You will work autonomously within agreed guidelines for minor injury and illness to assess, diagnose and plan care for a case load of patients. You will work under clinical supervision, assessing and treating patients with illness or injury. As an ENP, you will act as a role model in delivering high quality patient care and promoting clinical effectiveness. You will be required to work autonomously in delivering independent assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision making and planning of care and treatment, diagnosis, prescribing (desirable - where appropriate), health promotion and safe discharge of patients. You will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team and will play an integral role in the operational/strategic development of the service. You will have the opportunity to promote and facilitate evidence based practice and participate in clinical audit. As an ENP, you will work as an autonomous practitioner within the Urgent Care Centre delivering all aspects of management and care to a wide range of patients with varying needs.
