Summary NHS EDUCATION FOR SCOTLAND MANAGER - DIGITAL (INFORMATION GOVERNANCE) Agenda for Change Band 7 - £37, 570 to £44, 688 Per annum Full Time - 37.5 hours per week Permanent Who We Are NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is an education and training body and a special health board within NHS Scotland, with responsibility of developing and delivering education and training for the healthcare workforce in Scotland. NHS Education for Scotland is seeking an experienced Information Governance Practitioner to join their Information Governance & Security team within the Digital Directorate. The Information Governance & Security Team is responsible for ensuring that NES meets its needs both in statutory and legal obligations, through continuous improvement in the way in we manage our information. What You Will Do These will include but are not restricted to: • NES-wide corporate leadership across the full range of the NHS Scotland Information Governance Standards. • Support the NES Information Governance & Security Lead in driving compliance with Information Governance legislation, standards and policies across NES. • Provision of professional, appropriate and effective Information Governance Practitioner support to NES Directorates in relation to Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Records Management. • Lead on corporate IG change programmes, in particular the implementation and continuing improvement in regard to new Data Protection Legislation and for Corporate Digital records management. • There is an expectation of working across NES geographical sites and some travel being involved. • Line management for the Digital Officer (Information Governance) (AfC Band 5) post. • To support NES Directorates projects, ensuring that the appropriate information governance legislative requirements are considered, and associated risks are adequately mitigated. What You Will Bring These will include but are not restricted to: • Substantial experience of the information governance function in a complex environment within the NDS or Scottish public sector. • In-depth senior-practitioner level knowledge and understanding of a least two of the following areas: o Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011 o Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 o UK Data Protection Act 2018/General Data Protection Regulations o Information Security Management Systems in compliance with ISO27001:2013 CLOSING DATE: 16/04/2019 INTERVIEW DATE: 25/04/2019 Informal enquiries may be directed to Tracey Gill, Senior Specialist Information Analyst at [email protected] Unless otherwise stated the deadline for applications is 23:59 hours on the closing date.
