About you: You are a self-motivated, experienced, reliable mechanical technician, with a HNC/HND mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent relevant training and experience. With a can-do attitude, you will be familiar with a range of mechanical activities and will aim to improve levels of service for Berkshire Healthcare. A dynamic and competent mechanical technician, you will join our friendly, supportive Estates team carrying out repairs and maintenance of water systems and mechanical machinery. This will include water fittings, fire alarm systems and other mechanical equipment across Berkshire. You will carry out fault finding activities and repair equipment as directed by the Estates Manager. A reliable and competent mechanical technician, you will be familiar with automated production facilities; technical reporting and you will support equipment commissioning and installation projects. A great communicator, you will be IT literate and comfortable with writing reports and reporting faulty or damaged equipment as appropriate. A born people person, you will enjoy working with the Estates team and other hospital staff and will be happy to offer technical support as required. Happy with flexibility, you will be part of our on-call rota and will work outside of normal working hours on occasion and will offer an effective and timely out of hours' emergency repair service across multiple West Berkshire sites.
