Summary Our client, a large Building Services & Facilities contractor in the South East, are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their commercial gas division. Job Description You will be responsible for the management and delivery of commercial projects across east London - projects will include planned & reactive maintenance and refurbishment of heating systems in public buildings & schools. There may also be projects to manage on domestic projects, such as district heating systems for flats. You will be responsible for managing specialist supply chain and direct operatives, co-coordinating various types of works to insure a smooth process on site, tool box talks, pre & post inspections, H&S on site and client liaison. Experience Required To apply for this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in the commercial & domestic gas sectors as a foreman/supervisor. You must also come from a pipe fitting background and have the relevant qualifications. You must have experience managing direct operatives and subcontractors. You must be a punctual, reliable and hard working individual who is able to communicate effectively and is IT literate. Pipe fitting and Plumbing experience is essential for the role, as is a full clean driving licence. Qualifications Needed For The Role • SSSTS Safety Trained • Holder of CSCS Card and specialist Plumbing & Heating accreditation in Level 2 and 3 • Gold Card Holder status for Pipe fitting and Plumbing • Fully qualified Plumber and Pipe fitter with City & Guilds Accreditation • Holder of current Safe Pass and completed manual handling course Desirable but not essential • IPAF ticket holder - Desirable but not essential This is an excellent permanent opportunity with a contractor that is growing.
