Summary Are you a sporty person who enjoys swimming and keeping fit? Are you looking for part-time work? Could you support someone with a learning disability to enjoy living independently? You'll join us as a Support Worker at a new service in Shrewsbury, supporting a man in his mid-20s to enjoy his active lifestyle. You'll work 10 hours a week in a variable shift pattern including days and evenings. The man we support really enjoys his social life with staff and loves to go out for meals to the local pubs, play pool, and spend days out at Alton Towers or the Sealife Centre. He goes swimming and to the gym every week and will need your support to get the most out of his fitness regime. What we need from you You don't need experience to do this job as we'll provide full free training and the day-to-day support of your team and manager. So it could be a great opportunity for you to start a career in social care. You will need to be a driver with your own transport, insured for business use, as you will be taking the man you support to his various activities. (Reasonable mileage expenses reimbursed.)
