More about the maternity services Ashford and St Peter's We cover a range of maternity services at the St Peters site in Chertsey near to the M3/M25/A3 including antenatal care, early pregnancy unit, labour ward, postnatal ward, community services and the bespoke midwife lead birth centre. Main Services based on the St Peters Hospital Site with a community hub based at Ashford Hospital Each year we help approximately 4500 families prepare for and welcome their new bundle of joy. We have a busy antenatal clinic which not only runs 8 specialist consultant clinics but is also home to our many specialist midwives. Some of our midwives are also now trained in moxibustion with the hope of setting up a designated clinic. We offer low risk women care in our beautiful, custom built Midwifery Led Unit which has seen over 2000 deliveries since our doors opened 3 years ago. We are the only Maternity unit within our STP with a custom built midwifery led unit separate from our labour ward. Our labour ward has 2 maternity only theatres and 10 delivery rooms, one of which is newly refurbished specifically for the care of families experiencing bereavement. We are the only trust within Surrey to have a level 3 neonatal unit and therefore accept a number of high risk or premature transfers from other units across the south east. Our postnatal and antenatal ward has recently undergone a period of development which has so far enabled us to have a spacious and comfortable visitor's area and an infant feeding room where our infant feeding team are able to run outpatient clinics and frenulotomy clinics.
