Summary Cornwall Innovation Centres Facilities Officer UoPEL Department: Cornwall Innovation Centre (free on-site parking) Ref: UP0041 Salary/Grade: £26,000 to £29,500 Per Annum, Depending on Experience Location: Cornwall Innovation Centre Truro, Camborne and Penryn (free on-site parking) A vacancy has arisen for the role of Facilities Officer working across the three Innovation Centres based in Cornwall. The three Innovation Centres are multi-occupied, three story modern commercial buildings with adjacent car park, each providing approximately 3,000 sq meters of modern office facilities with the associated mechanical and electrical plant and machinery expected within such a facility. The University of Plymouth, under the trading division of University of Plymouth Enterprise Ltd (UoPEL), manage and operate the three Innovation Centres by way of a long term contract from Cornwall Council. The Innovation Centres are tasked with contributing to the economic growth and prosperity of Cornwall whilst ensuring that they are commercially sustainable. As Facilities Officer for the three Innovation Centres, you will be primarily responsible for managing all the planned and preventative maintenance activity carried out by the principle FM contract supplier, all Health & Safety aspects to ensure the Innovation Centres operate within both a compliant and safe environment, and all maintenance expenditure ensuring that it is both budgeted for and implemented accordingly. To ensure that these responsibilities are fulfilled appropriately, this role reports direct to the Head of Cornwall Innovation Centres but is supervised by the Innovation Centres Business Operations Manager. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours on a permanent basis.
