Summary Senior Trainer / Assessor - City House Kisimul Group is recruiting for a Senior Assessor / Trainer to join our Training team based at City House in Sutton, Surrey. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (flexible), with 30 days annual leave. The post-holder will report to the Training Supervisor, assessing and giving guidance to internal candidates on L3 Residential Childcare Diploma qualification. They will also design and deliver high quality training to our staff and provide QCF/BTEC diploma assessment services. Key responsibilities: • Oversight of diploma data to identify trends in candidate progress • Mentoring and coaching of assessors in children's services • Deputising for the Team Leader during planned absence • To effectively manage cohorts of learners towards training and assessment KPIs and standards, ensuring outcomes are achieved timely • Build and develop relationships with operational managers to enable learners to achieve and flourish • Maintaining documentation on learner's attendance and progression. Ensure that all reporting and recording relating to learner administration and assessment is organised and conducted as agreed. • Plan and implement learner progress reviews • Adapt own delivery style to suit the needs of the individual learner, and the homes they are working in • Take part in training and team meetings, Internal Verification meetings and 1-2-1's, being an active participant • Report all learner safeguarding issues to the authorised Safeguarding Officer • Actively engage in Continuous Professional Development • Communicate effectively across the organisation at all levels • Adhere to the Employee Handbook and all Company policies and procedures; particularly those relating to Health & Safety and safeguarding the welfare of pupils, residents and colleagues across the organisation • Carry out any other duties as assigned by management Experience, skills and qualifications: • Assessor Qualification - D32 / D33/ A1 / TAQA / CAVA • Standards Verifier Qualification V1, I QA • Recognised Training Qualification - PTTLS, AET • Residential Childcare Qualification at Level 3 or above • Experience in a Residential Childcare setting • Strong Administration and Organisation skills • Digitally literate and confident in using Microsoft Office • Full driving licence, willing to travel • Supervisory or managerial experience Your rewards: • A starting salary of £28,000 per annum • Comprehensive training packages • Pension • Life Assurance • Child care vouchers • Discount Scheme (Edenred) What happens next: If this position sounds of interest, please click "Apply Online".
