Band 4 Patient Pathway Co-ordinator- Medical Secretary The Division of Surgery is looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, proactive administrators to join our already established team. There are currently 4 vacancies for Patient Pathway Coordinator (Medical secretary) roles within the surgical division. We are currently looking for staff to work in the following Specialties: • Trauma & Orthopaedics • Ear, Nose & Throat/Oral Maxillo Facial surgery These posts will be based at both BHRUT sites (Queens and King George hospitals) and cross cover will be expected from the post holders. You will need to have excellent audio typing skills and ideally previous experience working with Consultant Doctors. You will play a key role in the delivery of a comprehensive high quality medical secretarial and administrative service within Division of Surgery. The post holder will be required to provide accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies in order to provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Referral to Treatment (RTT) Target. The successful candidate would ideally have knowledge of medical terminology; fully understand the 18 week RTT Pathway, some NHS experience and use of PAS systems is desirable.
