Summary You are invited to apply for a position as a Junior Clinical Fellow within the Carmarthenshire division of Hywel Dda University Health Board. These posts will provide you with teaching and training mirrored by trainees, with high success rates to then be successful in training recruitment rotations, if this is what you are looking for. The successful candidate will form part of a clinical team working closely with other members in the specialty. The post offers excellent opportunities to gain valuable experience in busy and supportive departments friendly, welcoming colleagues. There is also an opportunity to rotate into different specialties within the 4 sites to gain additional training. We are able to provide you with excellent teaching and training, with a robust induction into the NHS processes and procedures. There is also a fully functional Clinical Skills laboratory on some of our sites to improve and enhance your skills. Full GMC registration, completion Foundation Programme Year 1 or equivalent is essential. Glangwili General Hospital in Carmarthen is the largest acute DGH in south west Wales incorporating approximately 330 beds and providing many in-patient services for patients in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, as well as Carmarthenshire. In addition to a range of general specialties, there are visiting Consultants in Paediatric Cardiology, Paediatric Neurology, Paediatric Urology, Genito-Urinary Medicine, Clinical Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Mental Illness and Oral Surgery. Glangwili has a state-of-the-art Emergency Unit which includes accommodation suitable for 40,000 patients a year and houses ITU and HDU beds.
