About the role / you: A part time role (15hrs per wk) has become available within the community Based Neuro Rehab Team and Earlier Supported Discharge Team for Stroke. The team is well established and comprises of multi professionals specialising in Neurology who strive to deliver high quality evidence based neuro-rehabilitation. You would work directly with other Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Stroke Rehab Nurses and Therapy Assistants. The team treat a wide variety of people with neurological conditions all with a goal focused holistic approach. The team in well respected and integrated with the health and medical professionals across the County. This specific role is based in the Reading Team and involves visiting patients in their own homes and delivering the rehab that really matters to them. This is a band 6 role and there would be the opportunity to develop your clinical skills working with our band 7 speech therapist and other professionals and SLT's within the team. The role will provide specialist speech and language therapy to adults with communication difficulties and dysphagia as part of the community neurorehabilitation and Earlier Supported discharge team for Stroke. The post will be offered to individuals who are motivated, innovative and have experience in neurological rehabilitation and are dysphagia trained, to join a dynamic, client centred service that provide excellence in the rehabilitation and management of patients. Please note: We would consider applications of full time and part time hours with a view for job sharing The team is also advertising for 11.25 hours Band 6 SALT based in the West Berkshire Community Hospital In-patient team.
