Smile Education are currently working alongside a vibrant school based in the Moseley area of Birmingham to recruit a Year 6 Intervention Teacher. The successful candidate will be working alongside the year 6 class teachers to provide effective intervention and booster classes working with pupils towards achieving good SATs scores. This is a full time, long term role and the successful candidate should be available for a January start until the end of the academic year. This OFSTED rated ‘good’ school is committed to meeting the individual needs of every pupil. They do this by working closely together within school as well as working closely with parents and guardians outside of the school to ensure pupils are supported through out. This school is incredibly proud of it’s multicultural nature and works hard to effectively support pupils who speak English as an additional language. There are around 420 pupils in school, they are currently in the process of changing from a 1.5 form entry to a 2 form entry and support an additional 50 pupils in nursery. The successful candidate should have the following skills and attributes: -          Qualified Teacher Status -          Experience of working within an intervention and booster role previously -          Experience of supporting pupils within year 6 framework -          Experience of working with pupils with varying SEND and EAL needs.
